Register a new puppy or kitten with Vets on the Park and we will allocate you a member of our nursing team to be your personal advisor. This nurse will follow your puppy or kitten through the vital first weeks and months and be your constant point of contact at our clinic.
Your Personal Advisor will be on hand to answer any questions you have about your pet's behaviour and to help with training and socialisation. If you find yourself asking "Is this normal?", simply pick up the phone and check!
All new puppies and kittens receive a free sample pack of Hill's food. Your Personal Advisor will arrange regular weight checks and assist with ensuring your pet receives the right amount of the right diet.
All new puppies and kittens will automatically be entitled to 4 weeks free insurance cover with Pet Plan. Your personal advisor can also help you understand the key differences between the huge range of pet insurance policies available.
If your new puppy or kitten has already been vaccinated please make sure you bring your vaccination certificate with you. We need to make sure that no further vaccines are needed plus we record the dates to generate your booster reminders. This is especially important if only one vaccination has been given by the breeder’s veterinary surgeon.
We will keep a record of you pet's weight making sure that thay are growing at the right rate. Puppies that get too heavy, too quickly are at a greater risk of certain conditions such as Hip Dysplasia.
We recommend all puppies and kittens are wormed every month until they are 6 months old and then four times a year. All worm checks are free, you only pay for the drugs prescribed. Our staff can also administer worming tablets for you, again this is a free service. If your pet is in contact with children regular worming with the right products is vital.
We also offer a free text or email worm reminder service to make sure your pet is wormed properly.
If you are thinking of getting a puppy then please come and talk to us first. We can help you decide the best breed that suits your lifestyle plus make sure you are fully prepared for the new arrival. We have a range of quality products that can help the first few weeks go by much easier for both you and your puppy.
