Health Checks

A thorough health check is carried out when you first visit us for a puppy or kitten cuddle and then at every booster vaccination or consultation you have. They are also required at least every 6 months for pets on long term medication before we can issue your repeat prescription.

Behaviour

Your personal advisor will be on hand to answer any questions you have about your pet's behaviour and to help you with training and socialisation.

Flea and Worm Treatment

We recommend all puppies and kittens are treated for worms every 4 weeks. The best spot-on flea products (those that you can apply to the skin at the back of the neck) have an enviromental flea control effect too. All flea and worm checks are free, you only pay for the drugs prescribed. New treatments are available for dogs that swim or need to be shampooed often. Please ask our staff for advice as your pet's needs will be unique depending on their lifestyle. All new puppies and kittens registering with us receive a free starter pack of flea treatment.

Growth and Nutrition

All new puppies and kittens receive a free sample pack of Hill's food. Your Personal Advisor will arrange regular weight checks and assist with ensuring your pet receives the right amount of the right diet.

Insurance

All new puppies and kittens recieve will automatically be entitled to 4 weeks free insurance cover with Pet Plan. Your personal advisor can also help you understand the key differences between the huge range of pet insurance policies avaliable

Weight Check

We will keep a record of you pet's weight making sure that thay are groiwng at the right rate. Puppies that get too heavy, too quickly are at a greater risk of certain conditions such as Hip Dysplasia.

Puppy Parties

All new puppies will be invited to our popular puppy parties after they have had their first vaccination. Here your puppy will have a chance to meet and play with other puppies and you can meet other new puppy parents too!

Repeat prescriptions

If you require a repeat prescription please remember these points:

  1. Your animal must be registered with us and have been seen by us within the last 6 months
  2. Some medication requires a blood test every 3-6 months as advised by our vet
  3. The surgery will need a minimum of 24 hours to process your request
  4. There is a charge to issue a written prescription

Prescriptions are able to be collected from the surgery between 11am and 7pm.
